The challenges of a super neglected disease

In 2010 the Brazilian Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry will take place in Ouro Preto in the State of Minas Gerais and will discuss the trends and the future of the medicinal chemistry aimed at aiding to better understand the “secrets” of tropical neglected diseases.

This symposium aims to discuss the latest scientific advances in medicinal chemistry and the use of drug design for the discovery of new medicines.

Topics will include: CONFRONTING THE CHALLENGES OF NEGLECTED TROPICAL DISEASES RESEARCH, THERAPEUTIC TARGETS FOR CHAGAS DISEASE, PHARMACEUTICAL APPROACHES TO THE TREATMENT OF CHAGAS DISEASE, MOLECULAR DESIGN AND STRUCTURE AND ENERGETICS OF DRUG-RECEPTOR INTERACTIONS.
